What is the QUENCH Mobile App?
QUENCH is a free downloadable Mobile app brought to you by The Water Brothers TV Series that instantly connects you to the nearest water fountain or official water bottle Re-fill location in the Greater Toronto Area.

Who are The Water Brothers?
The Water Brothers is a TV series that will be broadcast and be streamed on-lie with TVO on March 19th – March 25th at 7pm & 7:30pm during Canadian Water Week. The show is hosted and created by Alex & Tyler Mifflin, two real brothers from Toronto who travel the world to bring you the most current issues surrounding water, our most precious resource. www.thewaterbrothers.ca

Why is the QUENCH Mobile App important?
Toronto has some of the cleanest and safest tap water in the world and Toronto Water is proud of this high quality. The Water Brothers want people to be given barrier-free access to clean, healthy water. What the QUENCH mobile app will do is connect the use with the most convenient location for FREE water at water fountains and Re-fill locations. For the outdoor enthusiast, cyclist, runner, tourist, and average urban adventurer, this free mobile app will be an important tool to keep you hydrated and cut down on your use of plastic bottled water.

How does QUENCH work?
QUENCH uses a database of clean water Re-fill locations that allows you to search by either entering a specific address or intersection or using your current location VIA the internal GPS in your smart phone.
QUENCH features Include:
• Search by current location (GPS)
• Search by destination
• Get directions to the location
• Share water fountain or Re-fill location information, location and/or directions
• Add your own water fountain and/or suggested Re-fill locations
• Add pictures of your favourite water fountain and/or Re-fill locations
• Comment on or rate a specific water fountain and/or Re-fill locations

What is an Official Re-fill Location?
QUENCH is supported by official Re-fill Locations across the Greater Toronto Area. These are local businesses such as restaurants and retailers who are willing to provide tap water to visitors carrying reusable bottles. Participating Re-fill locations have a QUENCH decal displayed in their front window and are listed through the mobile app.

Who can use QUENCH?
The QUENCH mobile app will be available for download for iPhone, Blackberry Bold and Android smartphone users. QUENCH data will also be available through The Water Brothers website (www.thewaterbrothers.ca/quench) and through BlueW (www.bluew.org).

How can I download QUENCH?
QUENCH will be available for free download from the Apple App store, Android Market, BlackBerry App World, TVO’s Mobile Apps and directly from www.thewaterbrothers.ca/quench

How to become an official QUENCH RE-fill Station?
Community businesses, like restaurants & cafes, are an important part of how the QUENCH mobile app works. These “official Re-fill Locations” are a location where any person can stop in to re-fill their reusable bottle while on the go. The benefits to participating businesses are plentiful and their willingness to provide tap water to visitor’s carrying reusable bottles will delivery increased walk-in foot traffic and recognition as a community oriented business.
