That's great but the problem with this is that the power consumption of that that server actually only accounts for a very, very small portion of the power consumed by a web hosting company. There's networking equipment, backup servers, heating and cooling the data center, lighting the data center, the computers and servers used to monitor the data center, backup generators and the list goes on...
At one time I was buying renewable energy credits for myself, my family and my employees business and personal activities. I'm a little skeptical as to how much this actually helps the environment.
Anyway, I was thinking of signing up for the program below and would like to get some feedback, thoughts and/or alternatives.
