It's a Nightmare receiving all this junk mail day by day. it produce a lot of waste to the landfill and waste of time with an information that many people don't want. We all need to Stop Junk Mail for that companies that don't stop doing that.
And Going Paperless with bank a credit card accounts. I do this with all my accounts, is less paper wasted.

In Canada, there is the Red Dot that is supposed to work:
Red Dot Campaign | Now Say NO to Junk Mail

However, I found out about this two late. I had already re-delivered my junk mail to the post office, stalked the mail carrier, and called local free newspapers and threatened to collect all the newspapers on my street and dump them on their doorstep.

It worked. I now only receive mail that is actually addressed to me. It's not perfect, but at least I'm not getting all those flyers and stuff that just go straight into the recycle bin.

The post office actually complained to ME though, and said that AdMail is how they make their money. Who else here is willing to pay more postage to keep the garbage out of our homes and landfills?

I've tried just about everything suggested above here in California. Right now I'm bringing the catalogs home, caling each company with my request (when they ask me why I'm cancelling, I answer that it's "for the environment" and then I'm recycling them myself. The man at the post office said they recycle all of the discarded junk mail, but I see people throwing garbage in those bins.
