    Default Would you consider buying a greener car?

    If you had the money and haven't done so already, would you consider buying a greener car?

    Cars have improved on efficiency over the last few years. I am interested to know if people would consider switching to either a Hybrid or electric car.

    I'd definitely consider switching to a hybrid car when the time comes to replace my car. Not entirely sold on electric cars at the moment for a couple of reasons;
    - Not enough mileage out of the car.
    - Not enough charging points in the UK.
    So I'd be concerned about travelling too far from home incase I couldn't find a charge point and ran out of battery.
    My car is only three or four years old so by the time I come to replace it, electric cars may have improved hugely, so I'm not ruling it out.

    I would abandan any idea about buying a car. I opt for bike or bus or metro or on feet. Nothing else could compete with these transportation.

    Absolutely not! Hybrid and electric cars are the opposite of green and a huge step backwards in overall environmental footprint. What people don't realize is batteries contain toxic chemicals which are very dangerous to produce and very difficult to dispose of. In the long run you are doing less harm by buying a used, small displacement, lightweight, diesel/petrol powered car.

    Definitely I would go for eco friendly gas rather then petrol or diesel engine variants. They produce less pollution & helps in reducing the cause of global warming.

    for sure. saves on gas and decreases our dependency on the natural resources that are been depleted at a faster rate than ever before.
