This year we have seen dozens of people pack in their snowmobiles for the freedom of a snowkite and the environment has been happy because of the change. The Martin Hanzalek snowkite school in newfoundland canada sees dozens of converts every year and the backcountry air is cleaner now that there is less 2 stroke pollution.

That's awesome! Kite boarding is on my bucket list. Hoping to learn this summer.

A little off topic but last time I was in the British Virgin Islands sailing a group of kite boarders traveled the length of the island we were on. I imagine it was much faster than driving on the island roads and saved them a lot of money in gas at island prices!
