Where to find affordable solar panels?

I'm looking for panels for our new home. Some of my neighbors had set up solar panels since the climate is pretty fine and sunny. Maybe anyone of you can suggest a site for me to check out the prices. I've found some and my neighbors also gave me the contacts of the one who set up panels for their home but I find it quite expensive. I would just like to ask for some advices and suggestions? My very good neighbors bought 1 80 watts panel for $1000 and I think that's not fair. Anyone?
