China invests more in a Greener Future than the US..

Apparently China is spending 1/6th as much as the US on its military and investing twice as much on clean energy technology

China is leading in clean energy spending. China does have A LOT more people than we do and honestly, I'm not surprised if they were leading us in many other things as well.

Good point about he population, but isn't it awful hat so much is spent for militry e.g.war puposes.

To be honest, I am not surprised at this piece of news. China has the largest population, so the pollution produced by them dooms to be more serious than any other countries and they have to invest more on clean energy technology.

I also agree with Coco, it is so telling of where priorities lie...I am surprised to hear that they are spending such a percentage on clean energy tech. However considering the amount of air pollution i have heard that their industries emit it may be that finding clean energy alternatives has become a survival imperative for them

This is absolutely true because their government actually is not profiting from oil sales as much as western countries who have huge fuel taxes. Also China has a trillion dollar GDP and can actually afford all the R&D. Our economy is still gasping for air.
