    Default California Energy Commision

Heres my issue, The CEC justed passed a bill called "title 20", which sets "a standard amount of allowable energy used by a portable spa/hot tub". The amount should be even lower than what it is now. The problem is that they allow the "spa manufaturer" to do self testing and self reports. Suprisingly they all passed(if you can belive that). Honestly I dont, becuase I have the "third party test" results from a test done at California Polytechnic State University. Not suprising to me was that 65% of the spas that actually showed up FAILED. The other problem is that the CEC dont even enforce the regulations, or do there own testing to see if the "manufacturers" are being honest. I just dont see how they can sell spas to the public saying they pass CEC standards even when they KNOW THAT THEY DONT. Maybe its cause the CEC wont do anything about it, i dont know.

What do you think about this? Am I just overreacting?
