I have to agree, they really are a cool invention and environment friendly at that. Though I have a lot of friends who fancy in getting them but never have I seen them reuse it. I guess it speaks much about how normal people see their usability and how significant using them can become. I guess establishments have to put more to it than simply saving. Say giving a percent discount or points system for those who are going to use them in exchange for something useful.

My parents have used them for years to do our weekly shopping. As WilliamHenry said, they're so much sturdier than your average plastic bags.
I don't know about other supermarkets, but in the UK if you shop at Tesco and use reusable bags you're rewarded with green clubcard points.
