We are The Water Brothers and we're here to create awareness of our amazing, non-profit, eco-adventure television series airing exclusively on TVO (Television Ontario) this March called, of course, 'The Water Brothers' and our fresh water smart-phone application called "QUENCH". We felt "Greener People" would be interested in the wealth of water knowledge and water advocacy ‘The Water Brothers’ television series presents. Here is a brief explanation to what both ‘The Water Brothers’ TV series and the “QUENCH’ smart phone application are:
In the debut season, The Water Brothers will take you around the world from the mighty Mekong River in South East Asia, to the frozen Arctic Circle, the disappearing coral reefs of the Caribbean and the Carp infested waters of the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers. The series feature Alex and Tyler Mifflin. They have recently graduated from University – Alex from environmental studies on the East Coast and Tyler from film school on the West Coast. And while they are miles apart on many things, they are united by one: the desire to explore the delicate state of our Blue Planet. Through the eyes of Alex and Tyler, we learn for ourselves what the problems are, what the local people and experts say about these problems and most importantly, what we can all do about them. Join them on their adventure this March!
The Water Brothers will begin to air on TVO (TV Ontario) during Canadian Water Week March 19th, 20th and 21st, 2012. There will be two episodes a night, airing each day at 7pm and 7:30pm. There will also be a six (6) show marathon on March 25th airing on TVO between 7pm – 10pm. The series will then be available online on TVO’s website for the world to watch!
QUENCH is a FREE Mobile App brought to you by The Water Brothers TV Series that instantly connects you to the nearest water fountain or official water bottle Refill Location in the Greater Toronto Area.
QUENCH uses a database of clean water Refill Locations and water fountains that enables you to search by either entering a specific address or intersection or by using your current location VIA the internal GPS.
We urge you to spread the word about ‘The Water Brothers’ TV series and the ‘QUENCH’ app perhaps by adding the series dates to your website's calendar of events, mentions of the series and app in your blog or on your social media pages and/or including a message about the show series and Quench app in an e-newsletter. We can also send you promotional posters & postcards to be hung up where ever you see fit! Any type of support is welcome!
We also hope that you all will tune in to TVO or online to watch the series during Canadian Water Week this March!

PS: Good luck with the television series. I'm inclined to think that this project is the sort of thing Britain's Channel 4 might be interested in. Have you tried to 'sell' the idea to the mainstream television companies?

And thank you everyone for the warm welcome! Sorry we couldn't reply earlier, been a whirlwind of activity promoting the show and QUENCH app launch!

For the first time in living memory there are drought orders in place in large areas of southern and south eastern England, due to the mild winter.
Plus, there is also a debate starting up on wheter we should have compulsary water meters, at the moment you have the choice - meter or fixed bill.
So the issues you are raising are highly topical.
