You can help out the environment by staying away from the normal cleaner available in the store and make your own green cleaners. Green cleaning products are made from natural products and many of them work just as well as the store bought cleaners. With these cleaners you won't have to worry about dangers of skin contact and your kids and animals will be safe. Plus you'll have a few more pennies in your pocket!

I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but soap nuts are the best green cleaner I have found.

Default Soap nuts are a solution to greener homes and lifestyles.

Hi Karl,

I concur with Matt. As the founder of NaturOli, and a crusader for healthier, greener, and better ways, soap nuts (or I should actually say saponin) is on its way to marking a turning point in history. Having my roots in the skin care industry plus owning a marketing firm, it has provided me a unique perspective into the commercial detergent, soap and cleanser industry. There are many parallels between the "beauty" biz and the commercial cleansers biz. I've been battling all the hype that the beauty industry has been shoveling since day one. In like fashion, I intend to reveal many truths that P & G, Colgate and many, many others don't want us to know.

I will soon be making public much of what I know about what big business has done to influence our way of thinking. I will be explaining in detail many of the unscrupulous ways in which they continue to deceived us. Have you ever stopped to think that Procter and Gamble started selling us chemical detergents and cleansers since 1837. For generations we have been taught to think that cleaning products must come out of labs and factories. This simply is not the truth. We have other options. Only recently has a demand developed for more options. When there is demand, supply will follow.

Soap nuts (of which I actually hate that name) is the key source for an absolutely phenomenal cleaning agent that is BY FAR superior to its synthetic chemical cousins. More and more people are beginning to understand this in spite of the ongoing advertising from the chemical providers. Change is difficult to be sure. However, people are seeking the truth. People are not settling on what's being dished out to them in commercials and on labels anymore. The truths will be told. And many will listen.

Thanks to sites like this, and the rapidly growing consumer health concerns over all the products that have filled our homes all our lives, we will see much change in years to come. A very high percentage of the thousands that love NaturOli's skin care products, homemade olive oil soaps, etc. are already switching to soap nuts for their laundry and other cleaning needs. We are doing many things to enable all of us to rid our homes of the poisons in our bathrooms and laundry rooms. I invite you to read the testimonials on NaturOli's web site. These are real people with real stories to tell. Let's let them tell the story. They are the best spokespeople. NaturOli™ | Testimonials - Natural Skin Care and Soap Nuts

Matt, Your record is not broken. Keep spreading the word. Together, and with our growing number of friends, supporters and allies - we can AND WILL make a real difference in the lives of millions. Keep up the good work!

Hey guys,

I admire your enthusiasm for soap nuts and I don't mind you spreading the word but let's not turn every thread into a discussion about soap nuts. Its starting to look a little spammy.

Thanks!
Zach

Simplify your life....that is what I tell my clients as I start hauling out all of their "must have" toxic and "green" products from under their sinks...in their closets and hanging out in droves on the shelves in the laundry room.

You don't need much to maintain your home on a regular basis.....in fact you need just 3 products to do the job of the 100's lining the shelves begging the consumer to "pick me"

Natural Liquid Detergent (not soap)....my favourite is Nature Clean (no affiliation with the company whatsoever). I have tested many and this one far exceeds my expectations.

A little bit (about a Tbsp) placed in a spray bottle of water will clean just about anything in your home. No need for glass cleaner, dusting sprays, kitchen all-purpose, bathroom all-purpose. This miracle cleaner will tackle any room in your home and will not cost you a fortune to use

Want your place to smell nice while using...try Essential Oils....a few drops go a long way.

100% Pure Baking Soda....not the stuff you find down the baking aisle of your local grocer...that Baking Soda is useless when it comes to cleaning. You want to go to your local health food store and purchase there....if they don't have it they can order it for you....if they try to sell you the baking soda used for baking, it's the wrong stuff.

This product will remove grease build-up, soap scum, stains on counter tops, scrub stainless sinks, clean toilets, clean ovens.....used dry it is amazing with flat top stoves

Hydrogen Peroxide 3% - I purchase the 35% and bring it down to 3% (11/1 ratio) at my local health food store.....a great "bleacher" and disinfectant.

How simple is that....3 products and yes they do work. One aspect of my business is an all Natural residential cleaning service and my staff goes in to our clients homes with 3 products. Did I mention I am a referral only company and 95% of my clients could not care less if I use the Natural products (I do it for me and my staff), they just know they are very happy with the clean provided for them.

Cheers!

I hear ya', Zach.

Matt, give it a rest. We all know you sell them. 50% of the posts I just searched regarding soap nuts are yours. How about chilling a bit.

Thanks!

Changing the commercial products to natural is an easy way to going green. The products on the market are very toxic to our environment. There are natural cleaning alternatives.

I see reports of the harmful that can be the most popular cleaning products on the market, and is very danger to health.

Some of natural ingredients will be baking soda, vinegar, lemon, and soap.
People need to try other solutions that not affect the air and the health.

Hey gerrr, Have you tried using pure white Dead Sea Salt as a laundry whitener and/or brightener as opposed to bleaches and the like? It has been working great for me. Pre-soaking also helps really discolored whites to shine brighter again.

Wow, It's great to see so many people interested and in supportive of going green and keeping it clean. I was totally into it when I started my home business to be green. Now, it's nice having better products around my kids.
